A note especially for quilt shops!

Huckleberry Patch

$7.00, 50" x 50". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

A "big block" quilt.  Make one block and you're done!  This makes a great lap quilt or baby quilt for beginners or anyone who wants to actually finish a quilt in a reasonable amount of time.  Directions are all in color and easy to follow.  Cover quilt shown in warm, vibrant huckleberry, raspberry, and honey tones.

Especially for quilt shops:  This and the following "big block" quilts are ideal for beginner classes.  New quilters will actually finish a project and want to come back for more.

Country Denim Stars

$7.00, 50" x 60". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy

These plaid flannels are a perfect match for used denim jeans.  The edges fray together to look like chenille.  No batting required.  This technique is fun, and a variation is also included for Star Brights.

Especially for quilt shops:  Are your customers always asking for ways to use their old denim jeans?  This is a perfect pattern to kit, because it requires 20 fat quarters of flannel in addition to used denim jeans that almost everyone has sitting in the wee corners of their closets.

Boston Logs

$7.00, 66" x 66".  Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

Another variation of the Log Cabin, put together to look like the Boston Commons.  All you need is some light and dark fat quarters and then you're ready to go.

A great quilt for flannels!  Because of the easy Stack 'n Slash, Switch 'n Stitch technique, a quilt that looks difficult is actually very simple.

Oh My Stars

$7.00, 60 1/2" x 66 1/2".  Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy

These big star blocks are oh-so-fun to make!  A great way to use those black and white fat quarters.  The red framing strips really set this quilt off.

Especially for quilt shops:  This is a great pattern to kit, because it can be made with any combination of black and white fabrics, which all shops have!

Topsy Turvy Time

$7.00, 63 1/2" x 86 1/2". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

This 25-patch is fun to make with a bright collection of fat quarters.  The patches seem to dance when turned "topsy turvy" fashion.  You'll love the nifty and easy technique for creating these 25-patches, and you can tell everyone you sewed all the little blocks together (find out how easy it really is, and keep the secret!).

Pastel Parfait

$7.00, 81" x 97". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy

This is the most fun Log Cabin quilt I have ever made, especially because it requires no precision cutting or stitching.  Beginners will love this technique and the results.

Especially for quilt shops:  There are lots of collections with the same pastel, flowery look used here, so a quilt like the cover quilt is easy to duplicate with new fabrics.

Purple Passion

$7.00, 49 1/2" x 49 1/2".  Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

A new twist on the traditional Crazy Patch.  The black framing strips will really set off your patches.  This is a great technique for beginners.  No foundations to mess with.

This stained glass window effect would also be pretty in pastels framed in blue or pink to make a cuddly baby quilt.

Mountain Meadows

$7.00, 55" x 76". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy

A great place for panels, or consider using photos on fabric, redwork embroidery, or showcasing a special fabric.  A simple Courthouse Steps block.

Rustic Cabins

$7.00, 87" x 99". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

Different sized Log Cabins make for a real homey looking, cozy cover.  A great guy quilt when done in blues, greens and browns.

Especially for quilt shops:  I used Thimbleberries in the cover quilt, and this look can be achieved using any Thimbleberries collections together.

Broken Hearts Mended

$7.00, 58 1/2" x 58 1/2". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

These crazy patch hearts are button-hole stitched to a scrappy background for this adorable quilt.  Even the border is crazy patch.  The crazy patch is very traditional, but this technique is brand new.

Raspberry Cheesecake

$7.00, 54" x 54". Published by ©Little Miss Sloppy.

This frayed edge design is wonderfully warm and cuddly.  A heart scattered here and there really spices it up.  The frayed edges are short for a chenille look.  No quilting to do.  Once the quilt is pieced, you're done!

Especially for quilt shops: This pattern provides a great way for beginners to learn the frayed edge technique, as well as a great way for quilt shops to sell that flannel!

Especially for quilt shops:  All of these patterns are great for classes, because beginners can easily learn all of the techniques.  I've taught these classes myself, and quilters are pleasantly surprised when they complete half of a quilt during a one-day class - what a perfect way to get beginners hooked on quilting and back in to your store for more!  In addition, all of the patterns are easy to kit because they all call for fat quarters, so it's an ideal way to sell more fabric.
